How do you define bikini waxing on your brochure?

Hi

Would love to hear from other geeks

What definitions/headings/explanations etc are on your menu for the different kinds of bikini waxing?

Would love to know how you structure your pricing for them

So to date

I have the Basic Bikini & Extended Bikini

On the brochure I don't have any details but in salon I explain

the basic is the hair on the leg and maybe a small strip across the top if they want it

the extended is slightly further in and slightly further down

Last week I was on advanced training and I'm practising away but was thinking ahead to how I would structure it on brochure

I was thinking of adding

Brazilian - all at front except strip around lips and slightly above on pubic mound

Hollywood - all at front & all on bum area

(this isn't how I would describe on menu lol I just wanted to see if my definitions are same as yours)

Geeks guide me- what do you think? what do you do?

I do Bikini which is the most basic, I explain to clients this is the hair outside the knicker line. High bikini which is the top and goes into the knicker line. Brazilian is all off with the landing strip, some people like a thicker line than others. Hollywood everything off - no hair what so ever.

With Brazilian, I've heard that some salons don't take away the hair from underneath, as far as I'm concerned that's not a Brazilian that's a very high bikini! I also get people asking for a bikini and they pull their knickers so high and want underneath off, I then have to explain that this is a Brazilian and so the price is different, same goes with basic bikini, they want more and more off but don't expect to pay more!! You have to establish what they want right from the start and give them the price. I have fallen fowl of "oh I thought that was a basic, I only expected to pay this much!"

I think the best way to describe what should come off & where is to use the different styles of knickers as a guide.

A basic bikini takes from the outside of a normal pair of knickers, a tanga would need more hair removing from the sides & a little off the top, a thong would need even more hair removed.

You could use diagrams like these with your descriptions to show what you mean:

Just to clarify I'm not saying to use those actual pictures but something like them (taking you own pic will mean you don't get done for using somebody's intellectual property) & my descriptions & names wouldn't always be the same as others so ensuring to find out what the client wants at consultation stage is paramount.

We have bikini, high bikini, Brazilian, hollywood.

Bikini - literally bikini line and a bit off the top.
High bikini - further up past the knickers, a bit further down-under but still on the leg, and a bit off the top.
Brazilian - leaves a strip, but remover everything else from the front.
Hollywood - removes everything back and front.

This is just how I describe it if my clients get confused. And nearly everyone that comes in for a bikini actually want high bikini so I always tell them the price first.

Whilst I only do male waxing I gave all my male intimate waxing treatments their own name ( used local area names where we are located) as it's avoids confusion and on my website each one has a clear description of what's included for that particular treatment.

Hi

That's not a Brazilian. A true Brazilian is all off, front, back, inside and out but leaves a landing strip about the width of a spatula on the pubic mound only. Best to say labia rather than lips. x

My pet hate is those clients who book for a basic bikini wax.

Then, they get up on the bed and pull their knickers in to the width of a piece of string and ask you to take everything else off!

My prices are quite clear on my list so I'm not sure if they are just being a bit cheeky. I always say, so that's a high leg, G string (or whatever) not a basic bikini? That way they don't get a fright when I charge them accordingly! LOL

this seems similar to what I thinking - with your Brazilian do you do the back area? and do you do in around the labia?

thanks geeks read through your posts and they are so helpful

I think im just trying to get everything straight and clearly defined in my head before launching it

I hate when its ambiguous around pricing I like to be nice and clear

thankyou kim

so the distinction between Brazilian and Hollywood is just that Brazilian has landing strip on pubic mound?

I have quite a few customers who would want all off front apart from strip around labia and not back...what would be the right name for that?

I do bikini which is knicker line, high bikini which is a thong line. Brazilian is all off from the labia with a landing strip, most of my client have the back done in this too but not all of them. Hollywood is all off. :)

Exactly! That's what I teach my students. That way you're not discussing money as such but you're politely letting them know that it's not what they booked in for so the price will be different.

We do
Bikini to knicker line
Inbetweeny further in
Brazilian all off except landing strip
Hollywood everything off
We went for inbetweeny due to people asking for more off and before you know it you have almost done a Brazilian when client was booked in for a bikini x

Yeah I do in around the labia. Just leave the strip on the top.
If the clients wants the back off then I would do it but most brazillians I get aren't bothered about the back.

thankyou ive got it clear in my head now

im going to practise loads now as in and around labia is still challenging to get perfect

You've got it in one. I've recently changed my price list to say 'Brazilian......with or without a landing strip'. In reality this could of course be a triangle but most UK salons offer a Brazilian when in fact they are doing what I call a G String. Have a butchers! x

BaggyBear did my course and she was brilliant so get yourself to her for a true Brazilian if you're in South Wales.
