This is my first tutorial so please bear with me.
Place a bead of acrylic on a form and pat it out quite thin (pic1), before it sets pick it up and roll it widthways into a tube shape (pic2). This will be the center of your rose. Pat out some more beads as many as you like to wrap around this center tube, use glue if they wont stay properly (pics 3,4 & 5). Once you are happy with the amount of petals that you have on your rose (pic6) you can then make the leaves (pic7).
Attatch the rose and your leaves to the top of your brush (pic8) I do attatch mine to the top of my brush before adding petals and then wrap them around the top of the brush handle.
When you are happy with your placement of the rose and leaves you can then either leave it as it is, add another rose or add some other flowers I have added calla lillies to this brush.
To make the calla lily place another bead of acrylic on your form and then roll it lengthways (pic9)
To make the stamen place a small bead on your form and keep pushing it from side to side with your brush to roll it to the correct size then place inside the flower.
Place these onto your brush (pic10)
Make leaves long and thin for this flower and then place them on the brush too (pic11)
Once you are happy with everything you can paint them. (pics 12&13)
Et voila.
Hope this makes sense
Jen
