Also, if you give it your best shot for a good long while and by that I mean atleast 1 1/2 - 2years, but things still arent happening for you, then I suposse the only alternative is to shut down!

Ive been in my salon for a year and a half and ive only just started to build my clientelle up to where i want it. Id still say i have a bit of a way to go too until im satisfied. Sometimes it can take years. Depending on your circumstances, financial situation etc. So i wouldnt necessarily shut down just after that period of time.

I agree with kate that People with a genuine passion will perservere.
