Hi all,
I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant and a new salon opened up in the town I'm in, so I thought I'd treat myself to a pedi while checking out the competition.
Little did I know it was a NSS. Their entire pedicure procedure was just wrong to me.
Their polish choices were dried up and crusty. The nail file they used was obviously used many times before me, and their metal tools were put right back in the cart for the next person without sanitization (!!). Their scrubs and lotions were unlabeled and didn't smell nice at all. They were rough and abrasive on my sensitive pregnant feet. Luckily the foot soak had a disposable liner!
The entire process was a half hour start to finish. And I was charged $35 CAD! I'm just new to the business myself and I haven't set my price list yet. I was going to charge $35 for a pedi to remain competitive but now i realize my pedi service is far superior to theirs and I'm going to charge accordingly.
Just goes to show - cheaper isn't always better!
