Hi everyone.. i'm not sure if i'm being silly but can you use the same acetone to remove hair extensions (shrinkie method) as you use for nail removal? As when i go into my local sallys store thats all i can see? I'm suppose to be doing a removal Tuesday and am a bit stuck! This will be my first removal and don't want to go wrong!

Any advice or tips on getting the shrinkies out will be soo helpful! x

Thanks!!! xxxx

Ps. i'm looking for someone to do my hair extensions (full head) i live in somerset, England. Private message me if you can help! :)

Yes I use the same one as for nails all the time x

Have messaged you :)

And this is why non....

appologies i have deleted my posts as they were unhelpful. i do not do shrinkies, but is removal not covered in your course notes?

Yes ofcorse it was covered, but i was told to reheat the shrinkie and pull it out gently afterwards..i found that some of the shrinkie tube stayed in still i just wanted to do a proper all out job with no worries of it going wrong. Thanks for the help Jen, i'll pick some up tomoro! :)

To all the other 2girls theres really no need for unhelpful comments guys i come on here because i'm aware i needed help not 12year old girl catty comments.. i thought this site was for beginers to.

Girls? I'm aware you are new, but I disagree totally on non hairdressers "playing about" with hair doing extensions as "blending the natural hair" as iv had to fix so many really big messes that have been done by people with no clue of hairdressing. To be able to apply extensions its my bilieve that you have a background in hair, ad I forbid any of my family to see an extensionist who's not a hairdresser or forever have to find another stylist (it's only happened to one person so far) . Xoxo

my comment was not intended as catty, simply that the course notes are often more indepth than the actual training and may have had hints or tips included that were not covered on the actual course. my initial posts were unhelpful as i explained i do not do shrinkies, and so i do not know how to remove them.
this could go round in circles all day, but i am glad you found your answer via another geek xx
