I always used a number 8, but at my Bootcamp it was recommended that I buy a number 10 brush. I thought it would be way too big and I would struggle with bead sizes and not touching the skin but it's actually the opposite.
It's so much easier to pick up small beads as the brush tapers more at the end, and the larger belly of the brush dispensers more liquid just when you need it for a longer sculpting time , I'd really recommend trying the CND no 10!

I think the 10 becomes a natural progression as your skills increase, I remember training with Ketan who used the Ultra-Sculptor (which is the 10 now) and wondering how the hell he managed with such a big brush, then going on some skill building courses a couple of years in and the techs who'd been working for a few years had all kind of naturally progressed to a bigger brush. You could almost guage how long someone had been working by the size of their brush

Yes, I love him and I miss him very much. I have a signed picture of him in my salon on the wall looking over me all the time LOL.
