Hi Ladies

I was wondering if you could help me, I am looking for effective ways of advertising my nails business.

Please can you let me know the ways that have been the most effective for you?

I have a facebook page and have leafleted in the local area, but only gained 1 appointment from this.

I am also paying every now and again to advertise my Facebook page, which is around £2 - £4 a day. The posts I advertise get a lot of attention but no bookings really seem to come of it. I

am soon going to try putting some signs up on the lampposts by my business and I#m going to get my car sign-written.

Does anyone have any good ideas they'd like to share, or what has worked for you?

xxx

Hi, how long have you had your nail business? I'm fairly new but most of my clients have come from Facebook. Have you shared your Facebook page with your local community or business pages? I've found this works well.

I'm only new myself so I dont have many clients but I have listed on gumtree and yell, maybe try that too :)

How did you do your leaflet drop was it letterbox or face to face?

Consider face to face leafleting, and striking up Nail conversation with your expertise on hand where possible.

You'll have fun doing this and may even get one or two bookings on the spot? You never know :).

Do you have any local groups or fairs and school fetes that you can book a table at?

These usually cost around £10.00, armed with plenty of cards / leaflets this can help you get the word out, you could also provide glitter tattoos at the same table.

Never underestimate the power of a freebie, doing a manicure or voucher give away, raffle prize, etc, is also a great way to get yourself discovered by new clients.

Generally getting yourself 'out there' with your services and making yourself known will get you bookings, consider taking a leaflet into local estate agents and other places of work where you know you may be able to be booked on lunch hours etc.

Do you offer party or group booking prices?

This can be a great way of getting people in for a little bit of a discount and also help get the word out.

There are people who will put you off advertising on certain local advertising sites, as they feel it's 'unprofessional'.

I'd recommend ignoring that and posting up your best pro work, all service and contact info. It's a few quid a month and one of the main client sources since their seo (search engine optimisation) rankings are fairly high.
