Hi there :)

I'm still in cosmetology school and foiliaged my friends hair on the weekend.

Her hair is basically a natural level 2 and our goal was to get her to blonde which was achieved using blondme bleach. I then toned it using fanola oro 8.1 + 5.1 + 4.2 which gave her a nice ash blonde but left a harsh transition from black to blonde.

This is my first time trying out this technique so it's pretty horrid... What are some ways I can smooth out the blend/ ways I can prevent this for future references? I dont really want to do another bleach but was thinking of just applying 5.1 at the demarcation and the same formula i used on the ends and blending it through.

Thank you!!

I personally would go back through it with a 6.1 demi permanent, bring this over the already dark root and blend it down softly in to the banded area, then apply a suitable toner. Be careful with adding the same toner to the ends as it will obviously deposit more ash and get slightly darker.
If you do this on towel dried hair it creates a lovely blend :)
