Hello everyone. I'm really close to qualifying and I'm looking for any and all advice regarding nail tech, business and products.

I'd love to know where you recommend buying products from. You're essentials, things you can't work without. A decent but reasonably priced professional gel polish range.
Files... etc.... anything you can think of.

Things you would have appreciated knowing when you were staying out.

That sort of thing lol!
Thanks! Can't wait to read!

Congratulations to soon to be part of this great industry!
Are you training in any gel polish brand at all?

My biggest advice is to just get out there and do it, it will be horrifyingly scary doing treatments on paying clients the first few times, but don't put it off, it will get easier and everything takes time! :D

Thank you so much! I'm so excited to qualify now, it's been a dream for years and now the goal is in sight it's kind of unbelievable lol

Luckily I've had paying customers because I've been training in a college that requires us to do everything on paying clients to pass our assessments. I've done a few people at home too. I know it will be completely different once I'm qualified but I'm not overly concerned about that aspect of it at the moment.

I've used a few brands; shellac, make me amazing, CCO, ibd, Pierre Rene and gelluv (which is awful if you ask me lol) so I have a little bit of knowledge about a couple of different systems. I just want something that's professional but won't break the bank while I'm starting out.
