Advice needed client wants to go from level 10 bleach blond to Wella 7/7

Client came in wanting to go from level 10 bleach blond to Wella 7/3, similar colour to what was on her roots. Told her would need to prepig the hair. We’re running low on colours after Christmas so the only gold could use was 8/34 (I know probably not advised) put this on her hair and it went a real ash green, rinsed off and added colour touch 7/3 and 7/0 and it kept going more and more ashy. Eventually we had to use 77/45 and 70 which brought the hair down to 7/7 closer to her root colour.

I’ve never known this to happen before can anyone explain why??

My guess would be fresh chlorine in the hair? Or a deposit of metallic salts? Did you use a cleansing shampoo first?
