Hi all, I hope somebody can help....I have only just started using L'oreal from using Wella. My client wanted their highlighted hair toned down a bit with a few brown lowlights. I used 4.15 Chocolate but the hair has taken too much of the red and it looks more strawberry colour than dark brown where the lowlights are. I needed to have that red undertone as the hair was so blonde. Any idea's where I went wrong?? It's puzzled me.

Ahhhh now I've seen this problem before and I was a little caught out as it didn't even look like a red was in it . I suggest you use double chocolate cookie/brownie. It most defo won't leave red tones. I deal with this colour loads and though its a semi it's very rich without those reds in. Hope this helps.

Arh thanks for the advice, I thought I was going mad. I'm just not use to using it as always use Wella. I will defo use that colour next time.
Do you use the Magiblond too? I used a 900s the other day and it was far too light (luckily on my friend!) she wants it a tiny bit of a darker blonde now, I'm just wondering if a toner is better as her hair is so porous I think it will grab the colour quickly.

Yes pop a slightly warmer toner on it should be fine :), also if you find any brassy tones use frosted milkshake in the RIchesse for 5 mins and it should take those tones out too.
