As a lot of people on here, I am a sole trader. I love to come on and see what everyone is doing, if I see a thread title that interests me I have freedom of choice whether to click it or not.
I am not a nail geek so I never click on nail threads, I am not a hairdresser, so I don't click on those threads.
Being a sole trader is quite frankly quite baffling sometimes. We wear many hats; accountant, marketing expert, banker, artist, designer, secretary, bottle washer, buyer, oh and therapist.
Now somethings I happily get on with and feel confident in my own methods, others scare the pants off of me. Luckily I have the likes of geek and other forums to ask for help. Hopefully I learn from that experience and move on, sometimes I even repay the favour and give advice to someone on the same vien, I can empathise with the query as I too have been there, done it and bought the tee-shirt in all the sizes and colours.
Their is always going to be the "same-old same-old" but we have freedom of choice to avoid those.
some people are more confident than others, some are plain lazy and expect to come on and have everything done for them. I think we quickly suss those people out and give them a wide berth.
I quite enjoy looking at peoples websites and logos, and if I have the time and the inclination, will go and look and advice, its usually for a geek that I know and like as I know that the request is heartfelt.
So, onwards eh? Off to answer a question on skincare ranges that has been asked probably a zillion times, but its my day off and thats how I choose to spend it.
