Afro Caribbean hair/Fijian hair

Hi geeks. I have just set up mobile on my army estate and there is alot of Afro type hair. I don't have any experience dealing with this and wondered if you think I should recommend them to a salon that specialises in this if they call me or just try have a go! I don't want to offend anyone I just think it's totally different hair to deal with. How would you word it ? Thanks xx

It's just that your profile said Cheltenham and I know a few people in the Cheltenham area that do Afro carribean. I'm more London based.

There are specific cutting courses designed for afro hair. I personally send woomen to another salon where I know there is a qualified stylist, she is the only one I know of in town.....I will clipper cut, or design cut, but will not shape long hair as I dont know what im doing. If your comfortable, go for it.

Me myself wouldn't either do their hair as it requires knowledge, the hair is totally different than "straight" hair.

I certainly wouldn't want to risk a customer getting very disappointed.
