Can anyone help, i decided to get an airbrush system ive been doing it now for five months and still cant get the hang of it, im so fed up...

at the beauty show i saw the imagenail system oh my god i fell in love with it so im really considering buying one but the price is very off putting. does anyone have one on hear that they can give me any advice, and how you have found it, has it brought you a bigger clientel
Many thanks clare xx

Clare,

PM me with the probs you're having with your airbrushing and we'll see if we can sort you out! It'll take an awful lot of nail art to recoup the price of the Imaginail system!!!

Hi Clare,

Worth doing as Jackie says.
I was going to say, have you had an training with the airbrush or have you been trying to teach yourself? If you've not done, it would be worth getting the training. I did my training with Melle of All Things Nails in London and have had no problems (apart from lack of artistic imagination but she can't help me with that one!!).
After forking out the money for the airbrush and kit it's worth a day spent with someone who can show you the tricks of what and not to do.

Good luck, It'll be worth it in the end!

I have just done a 2 days airbrushing course with Chocolate at K-Sa-Ra.....and it was brilliant. I too was struggling big time before that, now I can produce some ACE nails, and it's good to really practice. She does some excellent training!!!!!

thank you to all who responded to my post, but im that fed up with the airbrushing i think im best to go with the image nail, im not that creative which i know this can be resolved but the time and effort i have already put into this i would really rather fancy my chances with the image nail no mess no cleaning, quick, easy, very cost effective in the long run although it may take a little longer than i thought so if anyone fancys buying a second hand learn it at home fully equiped airbrush kit complete with nail trainer, varitery of colours are more than welcome to put in a price for it
thank you again clare xx

Im that confident in teaching airbrushing to people like you that have given up all hope, that i will happy give you 2 days free training if you will travel to me. I promise you that i will turn you around. And if you still want to spend £5000 on a machine, (which i have to say, is pretty fab) then im sure the company will be delighted!

what a fantastic offer from chocolate - you lucky thing - take her up on it...if you don't i'll pretend to be claire from preston!!!!!!!!

..me too!!!

Go for it Clare!! I just did 2 days with chocolate and im gonna have to have my airbrush surgically removed soon!! i wasnt doing any before my course and was getting blockages etc and didnt enjoy it much, hubby used to say 'you gonna practise your airbrushing tonight?' and i'd make some excuse so i didnt have to get it out.......theres no stopping me now!! Chocolate is a fantastic teacher. I could certainly think of better things to spend the 5k on! dont you think it loses some of the fun if its done by a machine? x

Thanks all again to who responded and thanks to chocolate for the very genarouse offer, the past two days ive been having demonstrations with the imaginail by the end of i was convinced so i got one dont get me wrong its not pocket change but this machine is amazing and will be well worth it in the long run, at the moment im just having friends and family round to try it and to get abit more confident b4 i but it in my salon but i think its fab..

Clare

Post some pics in Gallery hun when you've done some

kx

yes please post some piccies........

I love technology and think the Imaginail is impressive but..........
getting a computer to do nail art is a whole different ballgame!

It cannot take the place of the skillful artistry of a nail artist (like Chocolate amd Melle). To me its like those machines that print 50 business cards for £5 as compared with one created by a designer.

Great fun with a place in the market but an awful lot of nails to recoup the outlay. Novelty value: fab but long live the nail artist.

Marian

I can just imagine the size of my kitbag if I had to lugg that around when doing nails somewhere other than the Salon say on a photo shoot lol........
Nail art is a skill and will never replace a quick print your own machine.........
There is a market for it sure, but an even bigger one for skilled nail artists.......
just my thoughts xxx

i agree with ruth after you have done some gorgeous nails your proud of them their your piece of art, you can't take recognition for the computers work, just my opinion too. x
