Hey all,
Completed my second day of ONS today and dog-tired (why is it that the beds in travel lodge's are SOOO uncomfortable?)
About to book my IBD, but am looking at having both a buff off and soak off gel in my 'stable'.
This is after feedback from my mum, who preferred the gel nails (ONS trainer also trains in IBD and was teaching another girl at the same time) but doesn't like the idea of filing them off. Obviously she knows that filing in the right hands is perfectly OK, but I accept her opinion from a PR point of view, as it were.
I've been looking at Akzentz soak-off gel as they train in Brighton and seem to have had good mentions here (although I've read that you actually buff them off after soaking, but that the soaking means they come off v easily - I believe the term was 'like butter' :D).
I just wondered if anyone had any more opinions or feedback from using them to help in my research? And am I to understand that not all Akzentz gels ARE soak-off, in which case, which part of the Nails Plus Beauty site should I be looking at to view the soak off ones...?
Cheers!
Lol x

Hi,

the Akzentz soak off gel is called Options. Although not really a gel user, I have used the Akzentz gels and found them really nice to use. The Options is not as flexible or rubbery as the other soak offs so is probably more hard wearing.

The best thing to do would be to call Karen at Nails Plus Beauty and talk to her.

Fiona is right.....I have been an avid user of Akzentz and the Options gel is really "user friendly" (Technician and Client alike!!!) It soaks off easily if needed (not really had that much cause to soak it off tho!!!) and is very durable (hence the lack of removal!) I have used the Reflex Akzentz gel and found this quite rubbery, and perhaps slightly more suited to a natural nail overlay.
I would as Fiona suggested get in touch with Karen at NailsPlusBeauty who will be everso helpful in identifying your gel needs!

I too use Akzentz Options gel and find it wonderful. I used Trilite etc until the soakable came on the market and then swapped. I was under the impression that 'Reflex' is not part of Akzentz but in fact an American soak off gel (sold by Nailsplusbeauty at one time) but I guess I could be wrong here. Karen would know the answer to that.
