Ist not like everybody have problem with lifting with option clear, far away its good gel,
but after my experience Calgel have superior bonding to the natural nail at least for klient that have lifting problem.

Interesting stuff, I'll see how my Akzentz options come back in regards to lifting....surely if prep is perfect there shouldn't be any lifting especially with gels as their isn't a ratio to deal with.

Akzentz shinks back a bit more than calgel or bio...henceforth i think that if you are used to one of those, you don't cap your FE as much and you can get FE seperation. Cap it really well there should be no problem.

I love akzentz but had major probs with the colours and I actually threw them out yesterday (had them a while now and think they went off) . it was the lifting on the free edge and the fact I had to put several layers of colour to get some density.

But I love the options clear and the brite white - the clear is so glossy that I use it as a sealer with bio or for extra strength on bio sculptures.

I darent use it on its own - incase it doesnt behave well.

Also the buff off gels are pretty special too. i get good performance with them - and the cool pink is so pretty.

OMG...i have to tell you....Akzentz do a lovely Apron...black or white. I have got mine and i love it....when i get time later I'll post a pic.

Its quick and easy to put on and off...(school runs etc) and looks so smart.

right....this isn't exactly the picture i was thinking off, but when i came down from my bath this is what i was faced with..... (i removed his head to protect his modesty)

i really like the sound of these gels, although i've never got to grips with gel - i think i'll have to brave it and give it another go xx

Angie, thats made me laugh. Have you sent Karen a piccy of the new marketing guy for Akzents. I take it it is Rob:wink2:xx

Akzentz is the only product I have used. I have had a few customers tell me it is the best nail product that they have had used on them. Less lifting and chipping, also no yellowing. Akzentz also has a line of odour-less arylic products. Where I live no one gets acrylic.....all the nails I do are gel. Much easier removal when doing the rebalance.

I am going to speak to Karen at Akzentz in the week about the soak off gels but would appreciate some opinions from those of you that have used the Akzentz soak off compared to others e.g. Bio/calgel.

What is the strength of the product like compared to others? What is the file-ability of it like? What is the discoloration like of the white and lighter colours or do you need to use specific gel top coats gels to avoid this? Have you mastered your lifting problems and was it at the free edge or around the cuticle/walls? Have you needed to use some bonding/primer agent to help with the adhesion?

Sorry if it repeated some of the questions that went previously in this thread but I couldnt quite decide if the answers provided were for the Akzentz soak off, buff off or Calgel.

Many thanks all.

Akzent option is diffucult to soak off. I have endet opp by filing it off in stead of soaking. But its easy to work with and it does look nice.

Did you use ALL options? Non of the classic line gels will soak off. Use should use sure bond (a non-acid primer developed for the options line). Also, did you use options soak off solution? If you do this soaks off very easily, instead of soaking off the way acrylic does (get's mushy) the entire nail will peel off in one peice.

Hi Have been using soak off akzentz for a few months now was using bio before and had akzentz recommended to me by friend in trade. It seems to last longer on hard working hands and yes you have to work at it to remove but I will try tip on only using opti bond on edges and see if this eases removal but find some gentle heat from hot water bottle wrapped in towel over clients hands helps greatly and is a relaxing part of removal for them !!! but love the product colours are soooooooooooo gorgeous no complaints from me and on natural overlays seems kind to nail...
