I use l'oreal colours and love them however the dip dye fashion seems to be going out of fashion as quickly as it came in to fashion and I have a client on Monday who has coloured hair with dip dyed ends who wants to go all over red. She is a base 6 and we have chosen 6.62 as her all over colour. Can anyone suggest the best way to go about the application for this please?
Thanks in advance :)

I would put a 6 semi on the ends I take it they are bleached? Then give it a good wash and dry then you would have an all over base of a 6 right?

Therefore you should be able to colour the red all over as it would pretty much be the same colour?

I could be totally wrong but this was the first thing that came to mind. I've only been doing hair 2 years and do basic stuff so hope my advice helps...or someone will have better advice x

thanks for your response - i was thinking as i am dealing all with a base of a 6, maybe i could apply to mid lengths - ends first before taking it up to roots? But don't want to have root glow or colour not blending to ends properly? xx

I was told to colour roots, mid length and ends according to what the hair needs, therefore you could be right, you may need to go a bit darker on the ends as if it's bleach red will fade faster and she will be back in a few weeks to have it re coloured.

Hi

You need to pre pigment the ends first.
I use Wella so i would use perfecton, /7, neat, dry in, then apply target colour.
I would use a quassi but may need couple of goes before you get perfect result.
