Is their any alternatives for a nail primer?
Or is their any UK stores that do a cheap primer?

Also, what does primer actually do? I know it helps the nail stick better but is that all? People say wiping over the nail with polish remover is just as good?[emoji51]

You really need to wait for your proper training and ask these questions of your tutor.

That’s not really answered my question.

I can appreciate your enthusiasm but this site isn’t a substitute for good quality basic training and the questions you have asked so far will be covered by your training, assuming you attend a reputable course.

Which training course have you decided to take? A system specific one or a VTCT?

I don’t know if i’m going on this course. However I still want to pursue doing nails from home. I only asked is anyone had any substitutes for a nail primer, It’s not as if i’m asking for a full tutorial to apply nails or something extreme like that.

I see threads were people ask for tips or alternative for thing, for example.. and they get good answers yet I just get people who want to just tell me the same things every time, which is to do my training. I thought this site was to help people with advice or tips..

No, this site is for supporting PROFESSIONAL Nail techs, who have begun or completed their basic training.
Geeks who are serious about being the best technician they can be, who aren’t satisfied with performing a mediocre service.
Geeks who want to help fellow qualified professionals build up their businesses and become financially successful.

I suggest that if you simply want to DIY, you need to find another site aimed at hobby manicurists.

I am not looking for ‘DIY’
I am looking to start a mobile business, and just because i’m new and trying to learn the tricks of the trade doesn’t mean i’m not capable of achieving what I want. Everyone has to start somewhere right? Some people are very helpful and give the best advice they can.

I am qualified in gel nails, manicure, pedicures, ect.
So, it’s not as if I am just someone who is bored and fancies doing nails.. I have experience and knowledge and just looking to gain some skills.

If you cannot provide answer to my question, don’t comment on my thread. That’s how it works.

Did I say I was fully qualified? The training I would undertake would be for nail extensions. Hence the question I asked for this thread

Your question would be covered in the training.

If I do the training yes.. but as i’m currently home-based, I wanted some advice about primer. Like i said, If you cannot answer the question in ‘my’ thread, don’t comment. Simple

No problem. If you aren’t interested in my advice, I’ll close the thread here.
