Hi all,
So I have just set up (about a month or so ago) and I am really starting to make head way.
I just wondered... is there anything glaringly obvious I am missing? I think I have the full kit... but you know how it is, sometimes you cant see for looking!
I am mainly doing Shellac (but will be investing in some Vinylux shortly)
So I have got:
The hand sanitizer
Cuticle Away
Scrub Fresh
D Sperse
D Solve (using this instead of CND wraps)
Regular varnish remover
Lint free wipes
(I can't seem to find plastic backed ones?! Am I blind!?)
Barbicide (how often do you guys change this? I only keep cuticle pusher and cuticle slippers in here)

UV Lamp
Spot Lamp

Soap Dispenser with water & Soap mix for deactivate C A as no running water in home salon AKA my conservatory!
Shellac Top & Base coat
The following Colours:
Rubble
Decadence
Pretty Poison
Rock Royalty
Rapture
Iced Cappuccino
Iced Coral
Studio White
Beau
Zillionaire
Romatique
Pink Bikini

Almond Oil

My business cards arrived today... they are awesome!
My FB page is up and running and getting more likes each day

Solar Oil is on its way, as well as orange wood sticks
I want some Solar Oil hand cream.

I am loving this and my feedback from my clients thus far has been really positive, their nails are lasting well and they are returning. I can't wait to get further in and get more and more clients and make this my full living (I have just had a baby so doing this while on Mat Leave to build a client list and take advantage of not having to go to the 9-5)
My dream is to have a 2 day a week 'job' to have that guaranteed income to cover the boring bills and then spend the rest of my week doing what I actually enjoy...

I am so excited and so keen :)

Oh Insurance wise... How many actually have insurance? I am thinking i should get it... can anyone recommend a good insurance company that won't charge me a leg to cover me?
xx

How about nail files and buffers?
Nourishing remover is great also and how about hand cream to finish treatments with?
Couch roll?

I'll keep thinking!

Good luck!

I wouldnt touch anyone without insurance. Mine is from salon gold

Defo get insurance, it's as cheap as chips if you're just doing nails. Salon Gold is who I use. X

Nail clippers.

Got files and buffers, towels and hand towels, and I use some aveno hand cream at the moment... Couch roll? I only do nails, so it's just my nail desk and I am using kitchen roll so as not to get towel fluff on my clients nails...

Insurance is the next thing then :) I have to say I probably wouldn't go to anyone without insurance so that was a daft question really!

What's the difference between dsolve and remover wraps- new to Cnd!

Do you have a CND UV Lamp ?

Defo insurance and I wouldn't light that candle so close to flammable products, but that's just me! Emm CND lamp? As that doesn't look like one (might be wrong) and as said before nail files! That's all I can think of. Good luck in your new business :) x x

Haha I don't light the candle... It was scented and made the area smell nice, since replaced with a reed diffuser!

No it's not... It works perfectly fine at the moment and has cured the shellac with no issues. I will get the CND lamp... It's on my list! I researched today and it was as expensive as I had expected.

You may invalidate your insurance by not using the complete system though... Just be aware

Ah thank you, will check that. I plan to order a lamp in the next week or 2 so it shouldn't be too much of a worry x

It's so exciting when you're starting out, so much to think about. On my training with CND we were taught that without using a CND lamp to cure Shellac it can lead to many problems from under curing to allergies from not curing correctly. I wouldn't have thought an insurance company would cover you if you're not using the recommended complete system. The hands down pads you were after are available from S2 and Sally's. I hope this helps ;) xx

You also need to contact your home insurance company to arrange business from home policy as members of the public will be coming into your home and if they have an accident in your property you need to be covered.

I'm so glad you posted this Jessiesparkle, I'm currently sitting putting together my first mammoth order (class of wine in hand of course) and I'm having kittens over forgetting something or buying a rubbish colour.

How many colours are you buying? I'm thinking 10 and a French combo to get me started?

Doh, just reread your first post. Great minds think alike on the colours 😃
