Hello
I would like to share this cleansing shampoo mixture with you all as I have used it myself many of time and I think its amazing! I have been in the hairdressing industry for 10 years now and I have always used this method to get rid of unwanted tones or if there is to much colour build up.

This mixture has always work so well with me and its gentle to the hair unlike a full head of pure bleach.

Cleansing Shampoo
  • The hair is pre shampooed to open the cuticles
  • Mix 30 Grams of powdered bleach
  • 30ml of 6% peroxide
  • 60ml warm water
  • 15ml shampoo
  • Then you apply to the hair in sections on required areas
  • the hair will lighten over the development time (visual up to 20-30mins depends on what tone or depth your erasing)
  • Shampoo and apply post treatment
  • Then the hair is now ready to be recoloured
I hope it works as good as it has done for me for years :)

Thank you for posting a useful reminder about how to mix up a bleach bath.
I agree, it’s handy for removing unwanted tone.

For serious colour build up, I’d always use a colour reducer as it doesn’t contain bleach so isn’t at all damaging.
