Hi all, I'm new ;)

Just looking for some advice and any previous experience renting a beauty room from within a tanning shop?

It's a new shop, no beauty in the area and room ready to go! I currently work from home so no overheads as such, but am looking for somewhere with passing trade. also concious of the limitaions of certain tteatments with tanning and losing customers when they have to come back another day for waxing etc. I am tempted but would love to hear any views from people who have done this and how succesful it was.

Thank you!! X

Can't offer advice as haven't done it but didn't want to read and run.

Could you try it for maybe half the week for a few months as a trial period and continue the other half at home. That way you can test the water to see if it's something that might work, and see if you decide actually you prefer working from home, or if it might be something to really go for.

I know what you mean about passing trade but try and weigh up all the pros and cons:

Parking- how does the ease of parking compare to your home salon?

Your clients- do they like coming to your salon because it's more personal and one to one, or will they be happy to go into a shop?

Rent- Can you negotiate cheaper rent whilst you build up?

Your Image- does the image your salon create fit well with tanning? Or do you try to create a more relaxing experience at home?
