I want to dye my hair a reasonably vibrant purple and my friend said she dyed hers using Majirel Violet with a peroxide mixer (40 vol maybe?) works (in the same way I have seen the majirouge dyes work).

I am not a hair dresser, but I bought the stuff and just wondered if anyone knows whether this will come out very bright or will work? Or is it actually a matter of bleaching my hair (which is very dark brown) then dying on top?

Thanks!

Sorry this is a professional forum, and we cannot give you advice on DIY jobs at home, I trained for years and spent hundred of pounds on extra training and courses to learn how to use and apply professional products. I personally find it quite an insult you have been and brought professional products and think you can ask us how to apply yourself.

Sorry I have only gone on here because I saw people had asked how to apply majirouge as well as non professionals. I did not come on here to cause insult. I am applying myself because I cannot afford ridiculous prices salons charge.

Have a lovely day.

Go to a pro I have it done properly, you'll probably end up doing that in the end when you wreck your hair.

Will never understand why joe public is allowed to purchase professional grade products!? Products that us pro's spend years training to earn the privilage of being able to purchase and use these products. Tut tut

If you are applying yourself I wouldn't recommend using professional products unless your trained, you will probably cause my damage to your hair than you would your wallet if you went to a salon in the first place.

General concensus seems to be to save my hair. I thank you. Will probably consult my hair dresser then!

Ta!
