I was wondering if any professional could help me. I'm a beautician but a client of mine wants advice for her scalp. she has terribly dry flakey scalp which nothing seems to help, she's tried T Gel to no avail. Stress obviously makes it worse but I was wondering if anyone had experience with this and could offer some advice?

Thank you so much 👍

What shampoo and conditioner is she currently using? If she's using harsh random shelf products. That will probably be the cause of it,

High sulphate and silicone will suck every bit of moisture out of her hair and scalp.

For a home remedy, until we can find our more about her hair routine, she can apply warm (Not hot!) Extra Virgin Olive oil to her scalp and wrap hair in a warm towel for a few hrs,
Or
Extra Virgin Coconut oil, the stuff you cook with, and do the same as above...

However if she is using harsh hair products all the above will be pointless

Thanks so much for your reply, where can you get the recommendation you suggest?

In a Supermarket, the extra Virgin Coconut oil is in a jar, its not an oily liquid, it looks more like Lard, that will melt into oil in your hand, Extra Virgin Olive Oil you'll find in the same place

Have a look here http://www.salongeek.com/hair-geek/246116-pure-coconut-oil.html

She may need to have a good look at the shampoo and conditioner she is using too, it could be too harsh, maybe try something Sulfate free

Good luck, I hope you get it sorted.

Kerastase Bain Hydrant Exfoliant is amazing! I think I've said the right name. It's in their specifique range, has exfoliating crystals in so may feel graining on the scalp but it helps to get rid of the dead skin on the scalp.

The Dermo calm scalp conditioner is really good as well of she has any itching.
