Hi, have been coming to SalonGeek for sometime for help with all my questions and finally decided to join :)

I'm looking for a basic manicure course really and there are so many I'm struggling to pick one.

I'm trained in massage and would really like to add something special for feet or hands. I'd love to do the CND Spa-tacular course and I already know how to use paraffin wax which I'm sure is included in the course, but I need a basic manicure certificate before I can do it.

I found one for £495 which is a bit too much for me tbh, especially when I know I'm not going to go on to specialize in nails. There is a course in Edinburgh called Glow Beauty which is just £90 but I'm not sure it will have the right certification CND are looking for and I can't find any reviews

Hope that's not too long for a first post lol, would love if you could give me recommendations for a manicure course which will help me pick up the basics and certificate needed. Thanks

I did mine through nail harmony & had a lovely trainer. It was a one day course for around £100 I think.

Hi, and welcome to the site :)

If I were hi I would phone the Fingertips Centre the CND Scottish distributors and ask them what manicure qualifications they will accept, then take it from there. No point in going off and doing a course and finding out it doesn't help you achieve your goals.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions. I think Nail Harmony was one of the only places I hadn't found myself and I looked through A LOT lol

I think I will contact CND just to be sure, just wish they did a really basic mani course, their most basic costs £995  but oh, well. I actually like getting my certificates from different places anyway as it makes them all different colours and something interesting to look at haha.

Thanks again
