Bedfordshire hair geeks?

I've searched and posted in consumer bit but got nothing!

Do we have any hair geeks in Bedfordshire? I'm in Marston Moretaine. Anywhere Milton Keynes, Bedford region would be good...

I find it pretty daunting walking into new places as it is but the last hairdressers I went to laughed at my alopecia and I'm after a pretty big change...

Thanks I keep thinking I'm over it but the thought of going somewhere new again....

Even called the two colleagues over to look...

I wouldn't mind if it was an educational thing-"you might see this, check they're seeking medical attention" etc. But the laughing was mortifying!

It's grown back now but sticks up and looks silly.

I'm thinking we could do with a sticky thread listing who's based where! Like a Geek Directory lol

I'm actually appalled at that stylists behaviour, I assure you that most stylists do not behave so unprofessionally, as stylists we have seen it all, I'd be almost certain that a good 90% of salons would have the utmost care and consideration for your hair, I can't help with a recommendation but I would advise maybe call round a few and explaining your situation you'll be able to gage how the salon is befor booking a consultation, and just go with the salon who you feel most comfortable with, and who seems most educated in alopecia, I have a few clients who suffer with it aswell, it can be daunting at first by once u find a stylist you like you will feel "at home" with them x

Not a hair geek but I go to Toni and guy in MK and Rob is an amazing hairdresser, I wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair.

I have a client I've seen for three years and she just emailed me last month thanking me for my discretion regarding her alopecia, and she told me that she has been treated very poorly in the past by other salons. Can I assure you that the majority of us are not like that!

Don't worry, I'm not tarring you all with the same brush but it doesn't half knock your confidence when silly people do such things.
