What is everyone's favourite toning formula for platinum with hair which has varying levels of porosity? Some of the crown and mid lengths are super porous and very grabby with violet. I know some people like to mix some gold or neutral in with a violet so just wondering what is people's go to? Mobile so not brand loyal but usually use wella. Thanks!

Use a porosity equaliser first

Definitely use a porosity equaliser, infatreat I usually use. You could always mix your toner with either 10/0 or clear (0/00) so it deposits slower. Always use an anti oxidising conditioner after the colour, this will help preventing further damage to porosity. Also use a semi/demi/quasi to tone, much less damage to the hair and use the lowest developmer possible.
