Best high lift tint?

hi,

i am new to this forum and I am desperate for some advise. I have short hair and my natural hair colour is dark blonde. I have had my hair bleached white and is currently growing out a brown hair colour.
Once my hair has grown out I would love to have it a natural ash blonde but without bleach.
I will go to a salon and have it done, and ihave option to go to a wella salon or loreal salon?
which brand is best for a clean ash blonde?. I want it blonde but with no warmth in it. My hair has a tendency to go orange/warm.

which salon should i choose and which high lift tint for the lightest ashy blonde??

when you go to the salon, they will choose a tint to to give the results you desire, it all depends on the natural depth and the amount of gold/red your hair throws out.. I work with both brands and they are both good for different reasons and so as long as the technician knows her stuff, all you have to worry about is picking a shade off the chart..How it is acheived is best left to the experts. Please dont try this one at home.

i have spoken to both salons:
the wella salon will mix 12.1 and 12.11 and they said this is the lightest ash colour the can go without bleach.
the loreal salon (tony and guy) said the will use the lightest high lift tint they have got.
I have appointments with both salons, not sure which one to cancel?

I want to be as blonde as i can go without bleach.
my hair has a lot of warmth in it, so i am hoping it wont go orange?
want to go kerry katona, michele williams blonde.

I am a hairdresser of many years and a salon owner. I use Loreal Excelence lightest ash blonde 11.3. I have tried using salon professional colours but i find for my hair ( naturally Red ) this kills more ash and gives a great colour. I hate to support high street colours and normally i find professional products far superior but this colour is the best i personally have found.

I use Wella and the 12/1 and 12/11 are both nice ash blonde, if u have warm tones I would use 12/11

The thing with your question is that a L'Oreal user will tell you L'oreal and a Wella user will tell you Wella.

The best way to find out is to try them.

You say you have spoken to them. Have you actually sat down infront of the stylist who will be doing your hair?

At this point I would book a consultation at both salons, go in, chat to them, get a feel for the salon and listen to what they think would be best for your hair.
Even ask them to do a test cutting, see which outcome you like the best.
Then make your desicion from there.

does anyone know which brand is best for getting a nice ash blonde with no warmth in it?
the lightest wella tint or the lightest loreal tint?
as i said the girl from wella said mixing the 12.1 with 12.11 to avoid any warmth......does that make sense?

It dosnt really matter what brand is used it is how the hairdresser uses it I would go to the more professional one! Ask around and go for the one with the best reputation xxx

Definitely, both salons will use there products for a reason.
Go to both and get a consultation, choose the one you feel most comfortable with and will do the best job.

I use wella 12/61 high lift tint on my hair which is very very warm and goes orangey yellow with any other tint, as i have a lot of red to lift, even though you can't tell as my hair is naturally mousey. My hair goes a very pale blonde with slight ash tones. I think it would go very ashen for someone who hasnt got such a lot of red to lift. Can you ask the salon for a strand test before committing? HTH XXXXX
