Sometimes you have to build a nail on top of the nail bed because the original nail fell off or got ripped off. What is the best product to use when doing this? I've heard that BioSculpture is really good but is it the best?

There are specific products available to podiatrists to reconstruct onto the nail bed.
Normal acrylic or gel shouldn’t be applied to skin.

There’s Wilde Pedique for toes, not sure what there is for fingernails.
You have to take up their training and get a certificate but they include the kit in the price - which doesn’t include an overpriced ‘special’ lamp as they advise any decent Uv/led will do the job. Given the particularly unusual properties of the product, it’s heartening to see such honesty.

The bottom line is that if you place any product for toe reconstruction, you will expose the client to the ingredients in the product. According to Schoon, there are none he is aware of that are safe despite companies saying they are. Nail reconstruction is a medical procedure.

The real bottom line is that there are plenty of healthy toes lacking some nail about, particularly with the popularity of running these days. Wilde Pedique is a particular product for a specific use and is used by podiatrists. You must be trained to use it.
My sister is a podiatrist and she finds no issue with it. It’s not a particularly odd practice in her field of work so I wouldn’t be too concerned about it.

Mainly because of tight fitting shoes that don't fit the client properly.

Thanks for your replies. I'll look into Wilde Pedique and maybe get certified.
