Hi all.

Did my first set of biosculpture coloured gels three weeks ago.

My client came for her infills and decided she wanted to change the colour from deep burgundy to pilar box red.

Aaaaaah, seemed to take for ever to buff the two layers of coloured gel off and replace with red gel.

I actually thought, this is probably not a good idea for a client that wants to change the colour every 3 weeks. Any advice appreciated.

I must say that after 3 weeks there were absolutely no chips to the colour and they still looked fab.

Also did my model for my certification day in a set of sculpted red gel nails. They looked absolutely great and if I can will post a picture on here.

I am really pleased with the biosculpture, except for having to labouriously buff the colour off.

Hi

When i did my course they said if you're going from lighter to dark - its fine just to buff slightly and overlay with the darker colour, but you cant do dark to light.

Also, would Soak off maybe have been quicker than trying to file off?

Hey..I should point out........I am certainly no Wizard at this..!! Just putting forward what was on my course!!

Fab that no chips or anything!!!! I have a few teething troubles myself but on the whole lovin' it.

I'd say the same on this. Going from a dark colour to a lighter I would soak off & apply a fresh overlay, lot simpler than trying to buff off all the dark coloured gel.

If its a light to dark colour change buff off the top layer of colour, infill the new growth first with clear then with the old colour, then overlay the whole lot with the new dark colour.

Hi there

I know that you can go from lighter to darker colours, and I'm sure you only need to buff the nail and infill area first with same colour, then you apply new darker colour all over.
If she is going darker to lighter you will have to soak off.

Regards
Deb
