Hi,

I am just getting back into the beauty profession after qualifying some years ago so i really need to get up to date with things. I am looking to start up my own business from home as i now have children to work around.
One of my friends who has her own business uses Bio Sculpt to do gel nails but i know shellac is also very popular like CND but i know a lot of people also do their own nails at home with Gel kits so i am wondering what the best route is to take and which products people would recommend as the best out there?

I am going to be offering other treatments but i would like to offer Gel/Shellac as well for those people that don't want to do their own.

I also really would love to get back into the swing of things and find out which services are best to offer but i really don't know where to start or look as the industry has changed so much since i qualified.

Thank you

Biosculpture gel is a soak off hard gel meant for enhancements. It's a builder gel that can just come off by soaking instead of just buffing
CND Shellac on the other hand is a gel polish, and a hybrid at that, not suitable for enhancements (although it can be worn over an enhancement). CND's hard gel is called Brisa and it's buff only.

You are looking into 2 completely different systems and you really need to do some studying before you decide what you need and what to buy. There are many fabulous brands out there.
I'd suggest start with a gel polish first as it is more basic, get some reviews, watch a few videos and then decide on a brand. After you've done some practice on that, you can start thinking about gel enhancements.
