Hi there all.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Calgel and Biosculpture.

Both of these companies seem to carry a lot of hype about being better for the nails than L & P. I have even read somewhere that they have calcium in them which helps your natural nails.

Can both be soaked off with acetone.

Which in your opinion is the better of the two.

thanks.

Hi

Biosculpture and Clagel started off as the same company, then there was some hoo har and it was split and thats was when calgel came about
i haven't used clagel but i have used biosculpture.

Its a fab product and really easy to use and to soak off.

As for it being kinder than L+P well That will depend on how skilled you are at appling it. You shouldn't get any damage from L+P anyway if you use good products and prep the nail gently and throughly.

For more accurate information and no hype check out www.biosculpture.co.uk

It has its plus sides but also has its draw backs. I use lots of different brands and i do like biosculpture but it does have its faults.

I heard that a lady and her male partner were developing a gel product, and they broke up, and he bought out the product as calgel, and the lady bought out the product as Bio Sculpture Gel.

I use Bio Sculpture Gel, so i dont know what Cal Gel is like. I like using Bio Gel cause it dont stink like L&p does. but i do want to learn to use l&p.

I use Calgel and my only experience of Biosculpture has been nails applied at shows. They are very similar as they did originally stem from one company. As I understand it, when the company was split, the woman kept the name Biosculpture, but the man kept the chemist and formula for the gel and started Calgel. Hence I believe there is a slight difference in the gels. However they are both soak off gels with their own soak off solutions. The main problem I have found is the gel colour deteriorating in UV light. I think you can only make up your mind by experiencing both systems. I think Bio is streets ahead in the marketing dept though!

Hiya,

As someone said in an earlier post on this subject, no one system is better or worse for your nail plate, it is the technician who is applying and taking off the product that causes damage. If the technician does their job correctly then no damage should occurr at the end of the day all the systems are forms of ACRYLIC
