Just out of interest I searched ebay for BKST products and whaddya know, there it was. Someone is selling 50 and 100ml bottles decanted from large bottles. She also says that she is an official distributer for the product.

I'd like Geek's opinions on this please ...
:irked:

Dont touch it!:eek::eek::eek:

The media is lashing out with safety questions and what not, how can you answer truthfully if you are unsure where your product comes from? Right now Brazillian Blowout and Coppola are under fire, they have been found to be lying about formaldehyde levels.......Make sure you know your your supplier well, have all the training and info there is on your chosen brand, and stick with them.
Please dont ever buy products off ebay.....we have to stand together in our profession and put a stop to that kind of diversion.

No, no!!!! I'm not buying it! I have my own supplier.

I wanted to know what other geeks think about the ethics of an official distributor flogging little bottles of a professional product on ebay to non-professionals.

to me i think shes making it up, how can she go on a site like ebay and not expect to be scene by a co worker! im sure the companies must have some sort of contract stating you cant sell the products on ebay, if she does work for them then i hope she gets shopped and gets the sac as its people like that give us professionals a bad name, maybe you should contact the company she says she works for and see what they say!

No supplier would do that. Its probably a non-industry person that knows the value of the product and wants to divert profit. Stay away.

I already did and this was what I got back ...
<<Hi,

We have no information that official distributors are selling our products at non official bottles. We cannot guarantee that you will buy original QOD products from this sellers.

Best regards,>>

So I sent them the link. Haven't heard back from them.

I also PM's the person selling it. Funnily enough, I haven't heard back from them either.

If clients think that they can get hold of this stuff for a teener and apply it themselves (as she advises them to in her spiel) we won't be doing many of them ...

It makes my blood boil.
