Have a girl booked in for consultation on Monday
She has long blonde hair not sure what she uses on it ive only cut it a few times she colours at hom anyway she has phoned in absolute hysterics as she has put a slice of black(!!!!) in her fringe then before calling me has tried a home blonde all over to remove guess what it didn't work she wants the black removed but not sure what's best to use not seen her yet but told her not to try anymore colours before she comes to me Tomorrow
Thank you in advance cat x

Has the black stained the rest of the hair or is it just the fringe slice that is the problem?
If it's just the fringe (and her hair is in good enough condition) I would section it out and bleach it with 3% keeping a close eye on it and lift it as much as possible. Make sure you tell her though, as it's a colour correction you are unsure how much it will lift, and then tone if you need to.
Also tell her to wash it as much as possible over the weekend 1st to try and remove as much as she can.
One thing is, with home colours her hair might be in crappy condition to start :smack:

Tell me about it home colours do my head in I think it's just the fringe that needs help have advised to wash a few times over the weekend
I thought a low % bleach would be the way to go but wanted confirmation thank you I'll let you know what happens

Panic averted it was almost like a smudge of black on her fringe and I just used 3% bleach with a few foils back to back on the section it only took about 20 mins all in all to apply lift and rinse she now has a cool blonde slice in her sweeping fringe and was very happy thanks xx

Great job! Why do they do it like, I even have clients ask me which colour they should go for in tescos! wtf like! lol x

I would first clarify it with a good clarifying or chelating treatment. Scruples color delete is PERFECT to remove just the color. You may be surprised all you need to do after that is some creative blonding on that streak. With black on blonde - I'd err to the side of toning with a neutral and or ash as that slice will most likely be "warmer" than the rest

Atomic April
Thank you I sorted out the girls problem but will definitely keep your advise for if something else like this comes along
Can't believe some people when she came in she said she had thought that if she put a red on top and then a brown( home kits) that it would be easier to remove WHAT !!!!!how she thought that would work I don't know I'd already told her over the phone tint won't lift tint and she still tried with a box of blonde colour I might not like home colour but it keeps people walking through the salon doors
