I have bleach bathed a strand test of jet black and it has come out like a copper which is good as it never lifts but iv tried schwarzkopf 6-88 n nothin now trying wella 6-75 +0.88 to see if it will cling. Any ideas how to get it to stay? Really want it quite red!!

6/75 isnt very red, what about 6/5 colour touch?

why dont you try 55/46. i used that today and it was very vibrant.

55/46 is nice with 6%. i used it today and it was really bold

soory about double reply. computer playing up

the above col is good, but just 3% needed as u are depositing col!:)

i used 6% and always do hun when depositing colour. with 3% u would get to much of a fade on it and would use that more so for a semi :)

1.9% for semis!

I agree with Lisa82 and magenta to use a nice vibrant red tone in Colour touch as long as its already a pretty even orangey lift all over ?

and 1.9% with a rich red will cling far better and last longer on porous hair because the 1.9% will open up the cuticle just enough to allow the colour to flood in then close it tightly shut again
they also have the 4% lotion too

but as this hair is already lifted to a gingery it only needs a strong vibrant red tonal deposit on it
and the 1.9% should do the trick very nicely

or even a star gazer colour from Salon Direct or sallys in red wine is absolutely fab over gingery orange hair

C/Touch also seals the hair with shine giving ingredients so it locks the colour in nice and tight :)

The colour touch in a strong vibrant red will stay in and cling much better better on gingery porous hair than if you use tint with 6%

the only thing you have to be careful of with colour touch or any Quasi colour is you can get Grab with those brown shades on very highly bleached or any over porous hair.....
as the more brown in the base the darker it can grab the mid lenghts and ends on porous hair so do some test pieces first for the base levels first

They have some nice vibrant reds 77/46 looks like a very vibrant red to use with 1.9%

or try the stargazer in rich wine its a lovely deep red colour and as its a more of a deep red tone it wont grab ... here are both links , hth

WELLA PROFESSIONALS - COLOR TOUCH - COLOR TOUCH CORE RANGE

1.9% for semis!

im thinking of another colour range that we use in the other salon. affinage use 3% as a semi. colour touch is 1.9 and 4%. so yes you are write lol

Thanks everyone off the wholesalers now x wish me look cause im ginge right now haha, not very festive x

Just be careful with the intensive reds in wella as they have a pyrazol 5 molecule, which means its 5 sided so they all lock in together and are really hard to remove when you ever want to go any other colour than....red! hahah good luck, let us know how u go!
