So I've just finished my level 1 hair dressing and am on my summer break and hoping to do some hair from home.
My friend had red hir, then put a very dark brown over it and then had it stripped at a salon and had a fullhead of h/l. She is a natural base of around a 5 or 6 i would say, anoying when i have no colour charrt to check. The highlights came out nice but are quite brassy and not very blonde, as exspected. She now wants to go just a little blonder and has asked me to do a full head, I am planning on using bleach with 12%.
I was wodnering weather to weave out and highlight over the already bleached blonde bits, or just weave through and do the brown bits or a bit of both..
Also wondering how long it normaly takes to develop, I am very confident with tints, and have done h/l at college but without putting under head and a tutor there just wonderrd if anybody had any advise..

Don't touch her hair until you have done level 2. You don't have knowledge or understanding of how coloring works. Especially if your saying your going to use 12% with bleach!!! Eeekkk!!!! Please do not compromise the condition of this persons hair, and don't run before you can walk.

This is level 3 colour correction work! There's so much more to it than just explaining how to do it!
So many problems can occur!
Stay far away, this is your reputation at crisis and your not advanced enough to deal with the complications!

Meant to say 9% there!! Sorry, late an all. But yeah 30vol. Although have used the 40vol with bleach, i didnt want too but was instructed by a tutor on a head of highlights i did at college.
I have done many highlights before, and used bleach was just wondering on the idea to just pull out the brown bits but hey ho thanks for adive i spose.
I would think that the colour correction work has already been done, shes had it stripped and highlighted she just wants more blonde, No?

Yes that's fine but it's still colour correction as your correcting the colour! Yes?
If you weave out the darker bits will go exactly like the lighter bits now, you want different peroxides, to avoid root glow, you may want to lift up already done areas but again different peroxides! I also do not no what her hair looks like so can't give that much advice! A test strand should show you! If you have done one? Also may want to check for metallic salts!

Yeah think I will do a stand test with 30vol and check how that goes and how long it takes to develop. Her hairdresser suggested she just had the brown bits weaved out and blones to match the rest, but it would be more blonde but not a blonde colour, my tutor made me have this done to minde as he was worried about the condition of my hair, but hers is actually in good condition.but didn't want to just bleach over bleach so thought could just pick up bits of both then get different colours too.. Anyway I will be doing the highlights with a friend who's completed level2! It was more the timing I was asking as I'm so used to puttong under heat at college, but just keep checking. One thing I have learnt from a year of hairdressing is all hairdressers tell u somethin different lol well Thanks for advice.
