when i blend my tips the smile line left behind are different sizes on each nail making it awkward for getting the white gel the same size on each nail.
Is this normal or am i applying the tips wrong.

You will have to explain a little more clearly what your problem is.

That each free edge is a different length? Or that each smile line is a different shape?

that the smile line is different shape and sometimes quite low on some nails

Well this is the reason people have their nails enhanced, because their own nails are less than perfect!! :) YOU have to make them perfect for them.

It is easy to create the same smile line on each nail and to cover up the imperfect ones they have. If the client has a short nail bed, it is difficult to make them look long and sleek unless you use a camouflage powder such as Flawless by Creative Nail Design, or paint the nails a nice colour which will cover up everything.
