Blonde Colour Advice-Koleston

Got a client coming in for a colour tomorrow evening she has grown out bleach highlights & a 7/7 lowlight, her re-growth would be about 1 1/2 inches at the moment, her natural base colour is about a level 6 with a quite warm golden banding just above her natural regrowth she has said she wants to go brighter as in Blonder with her base colour so I am just looking for suggestions as to what colour to use on her roots, using Wella Koleston. Maybe 9.1? Why am I getting so many Blondes at the moment!!lol

If she wants to be blonder but leaves her roots an inch and a half... I would say lighten her low light or leave it out altogether this time, I'm guessing that she doesn't get a tint at the moment so I wouldn't rush to do a tint instead of highlights x

Sorry i wasnt very clear, she always gets an all over tint along with highlights & lowlights, she didnt get it coloured with me before but she always gets a base colour but she said she is never 100% happy about the colour of her roots as they always seem too warm.

If she is getting bleach highlights then her tint will always look golden compared to that. I'm not sure really what to suggest- I would be inclined to darken her tint maybe.

Hey kimi, yeah i agree with what your saying, I think im just gonna do loads of 20vol highlights & maybe just a 7.0 or 8.0 base in-between. I think that maybe more highlights is what she is looking for (i hope!lol):lol:

If she wants lighter and less golden I'd do loads of highlights, put her tint to a 7/1 and miss out the lowlights. And tone after the highlights. I'm not great with lightening with tint (that sounds awful doesn't it?) but that's what I would do and shell get a lot less golden then.

Sounds good kimi, i'll give the 7.1 a go & do loads of highlights. Would you just mix the 7.1 with 6%? Also what would u use as a toner in that situation?

Yeah 6% cos u want a bit of lift. Toner I would use the steel blue blond me toner, forgot I had it and used it the other day and re fell in love with it, otherwise I would use 10/1 koleston x

I haven't heard of that toner before, what brand is it & what do you mix it with? Also when your toning with 10-1 do you use 3% or a lower percentage developer?
