Hey all!
I had a client who we are cuddly trying to lift her hair to as light as possible so she can go silver/grey, we’ve got it to a level 7 with a few warm bits.. in two sittings as she was black.. I toned her hair with a 7.1 and it had a tinge of green.. could anyone tell
Me why this is?

I qualified in 2014 and looking into going on a refresher course xx

Blue toner plus yellow hair = green tinge.

how can I stop my ash/greys going green? X

You need a violet based colour to counteract the yellow x

If you want ice/ash, you have to tone the yellow with violet to get to neutral then you add your chosen ash/grey colour. Probably best to practise on swatches to get a feel for what will work.

thanks, I appreciate your help, both of you xx
