I'm going back to my natural colour Brunette. Ive been very blonde for the last 3yrs.
My friend has put a warm 5.13 on my hair so far.
How soon can i apply a brown colour?
Also she said i can never be blonde again, is this right as you see lot's of famous people changing their hair colour all the time.
I'm a beautician, so don't really know much about hair.
Thanks

In my old hairdressing training days many moons ago you would pre-pig and put the brown on all in one visit. I don't do that kind of work now so wouldn't know really. But I would imagine if you have one colour and it is now a bit red you can brown it over as it were almost straight away.

But to be honest I'm not sure. If you hair is not showing any signs of damage I guess I would colour it the next time its due for a wash or say 3 or 4 days later. Thinking about it I had a client recently that I did her colour on and the roots were too warm shall we say. I recoloured the roots with just base to blend it just three days later and it was absolutely fine. I redid her regrowth today 5 weeks later and there was no colour difference in the midlengths at all so clearly it was OK to recolour a couple of days later. The thing is I use professional colours and use the same product on her and keep scrupulous records of what I had done and the outcome each time. I don't know if it had worked say if she had gone off and bought a box colour and done it herself.

Is your friend a hairdresser? If so why aren't you letting her put on the brown shade? If she did the first part she should do the second part as she knows what she put on and what the hair can take now.

I had 5.31 maroon chestnut from loreal. We got it from capital.
What could I put as semi permanent for my next colour?
I'd like to be brown, my natural colour.
Thanks

It's best to go to a hairdresser for this sort of thing, rather than trying your luck in captial, because if you do go too dark and you hate it going blonde again will dammage your hair considerably, from years of being blonde your hair might also be porous and take the hair darker than it should! A good hairdresser will take your skin tone into account and use colour techniques to give you your desired shade, as opposed to just whacking on any old brown colour.

I recently went from bleach blonde to brunette I used wells colour touch 5.73 and 4% - 20 mins later job done
Fantastic result and didn't start fading for almost 5 weeks
Xx

i use loreal and i would of applied the pre-pig first and applied the chosen tint on straight away and had it freshened up 5 to 6 weeks later. the pre-pig will help the chosen tint to grab and it will last longer for you doing it too:lol:
