Hi all,
Just a quick question. Have any of you used Wella blondor soft blonde cream for a full head colour?
Ive got a client tomorrow who naturally a gold copper colour and she wants go go blonde.
She has had several semi permanant colours on her hair and although they have pretty much washed out there is still some residue so a full head of high lift tint will not give an even result/will leave lighter roots.

I have done a couple of strand tests to check this out.
I did suggest a full head of highlights but she 'doesnt want any ginger bits left'.

Was thinking full head blondor with lower level peroxide at root and then maybe a few lowlights for natural look afterwards?

Has anyone used blondor cream this way?

Cheers in advance x x

Cream is a bit naff personally, dries out quick and doesn't do much, I would personally do two strength of blondor and one pastel and one 6% but don't fold foil if your doing highlights keep it the length of the hair and recover with a second piece of foil

Hiya, thanks for the advice. Do you mean to use the blondor lightening powder instead then?

Thanks

Yeah go for the blue powder, is wella the only thing you use? Or can you get hold of anything else like tigi true light?

Hiya, colour mission accomplished and a very happy client.

Couldn't get any of the blondor powder this morning as out of stock so after a mini panic i had to go for the blondor cream, with it being good for on the scalp application.
To my relief it lifted quite well but as you said, bluerinse, it did dry out a fair bit so had to keep re applying.
After washing and drying the hair it bore a startling resemblance to Lisa from the simpsons, a lovely yellow with a touch of apricot

Thankfully i was expecting this with the base colour to start being medium ginger gold so i did a full head of fine lowlights every other section with 8.03A and 6.01NI, then applied a full head inbetween of 8.01NI (RUSK).

Five long hours of colouring, cutting and blowdrying later, client was left with a gorgeous multi tonal beige/neutral blonde, phew!

Only issue now is deciding what to use next time for the root touch up, do i pre bleach and tint again or match up with a highlift blonde? Oh, the drama

As long as you do not overlap your bleach, and stick to exactly the same mix and proportions of colour, doing this will not cause damage and a tint on it's own may mot be able to handle lifting and getting the same tone as bleach and toning, if that makes sense?
