:) Hi everyone was woundering if you could help me i done my 1st brazilian blowdry 4 weeks ago on afro hair she was really pleased with the results now she wants her hair coloured will this effect the brazilian blowdry in anyway any help would be great

Check your inserts, but I do believe all brands are relatively similar. If you are not doing your color immediately before your blowdry, you must wait two weeks before chemically altering the hair.
We color right before the blowdry to maximize time between, and to lock in the color.

ok thanks very much for your help x x

I'm just a Braz Blow dry (BBD) client and not a pro. Can I just add that my first BBD was reversed when I had a colour. Nothing to do with the colour but the stylist washed and conditioned with normal shampoo which I guess is an easy mistake to make. HTH's x

ok thanks im undecided weather to do the colour or not as her bbd was great and she is really happy and her hair doesnt really need colouring and even though u sed she used the wrong shampoo and cant c how it will b the same after the colour thankyou xx

I've applied the BBD to loads of clients now, all but 1 has their hair coloured, so far (touch wood!) the colour hasn't affected the brazilian at all. I have my regular clients, but also off my website solely for the BBD and I do always remind them to take their shampoo I supply just in case, 1 friend didn't and I noticed straight away it had been stripped from her hair. I have also coloured my own hair on top of the BBD no probs there either.

I do BBD everyday at work and I'd defiantly say it ok to colour about 10 days to 2 weeks after and it won't affect it, however if you do the colour 2 weeks prior to the BBD it will dull the colour.
