Hiya

Can anyone tell me how you can cover nail polish with Brisa UV Finishing Gloss, is it just a case of polishing the nail and then covering with the Finishing Gloss? Diane did it on the training day and i can't remember for the life of me what she did.

Also just been reading another thread on mixing glitter & gel can i just add some glitter to my Brisa gel and bingo it will work!?!?

cheers

Hi i just read your thread on putting brisa uv finishing gloss over nail polish, just thought,i put it streight over 2day without thinking and it needs either a 180grit surface or the inhibition layer leaving on! I hope it lasts! If anyone does know what to do before hand plz help us! Also im wanting to mix glitter with my gel aswell, just read something in nail art that said just mix a bit in with your gel and apply as normal. Do you have to put a bit of your gel in a diff tub first then mix in glitter?

i have asked this before.... dont think it is designed to put over polish... has to be 180 grit surface... but hey guess what i have tried it on myself and it was fab! and also a pain to remove!!! but as a nail tech who wants colour i gave it a go... had to seal the edges so it didnt shrink and it was on acrylic enhancements ... did it on a natural nail on my mate but it peeled off like a veneer... but she said she enjoyed peeling it off so not to worry( therfore it does not work on a natural nail polish...

Just learned about this at the Roadshow. The finishing gloss was not designed to be put over polish, as you must wipr the inhibition layer off with scrub fresh and if you miss a spot with the cover gloss you mess up your polish, then you have to buff off and start over. This is not to say it cannot be done, but you must be careful to get full coverage.

As for mixing glitter into the gels, any of the creative polymer powders may be mixed in a seperate container with your gel for a custom color or look. Only mix what you need for that client, because the powder begins the chain reaction we know as "curing" the gel will line up to polymerise as soon as you mix the two together, so don't mix more than you need. Doug Schoon was asked repeatedly about coming out with colored gel and glitter gels. He said he'd see what he could do. (at least he recognized the demand and request... it may take awhile to design)

Hope this adresses your concerns.:D

I've had Brisa for a few weeks now and struggling a great deal with sculpting the white tip. Any suggestions of how i can improve. Some of the nails come out perfect but then others look terrible. I find it a lot harder to sculpt with brisa than with acrylic. Please help

Hi all, i asked about mixing glimmer with gel as i long for a shimmering pink but i was told not to, this was the reply.....

Sorry, I was being as thick as a set of first time enhancments.
No, dont mix glimmer or twighlight with gel
You can try some glitter (ie INM's glitter) but avoid using too much of it.

Sorry
