Brown with purple slices?

Hi I have a client who has a short textured hair cut with a tinted level 5. This time she wants to keep the base colour the same but with purples slices throughout the top. She has about 40% grey so I use 5/0 with 5/77 for the base. So I was thinking of slices with bleach to prelighten to maybe orange and then using 0/66 over the top for the purple. Do you think this will be ok and how would you go about it. I usually put the foils in 1st and then apply base colour in between. She will have a good inch regrowth. Would I need to rinse, dry the hair and apply the 0/66 on the prelightened hair. Any advance would be great

Thanks for replying Craig. Would you apply the purple in foils again?

No worries. Easiest way would be to lighten the hair in foils put the base colour on then wash it off then put the purple on the lifted bits that were.in foils.
