A friend of mine has been a silly girl! She decided to change her hair from a dark red to a really light blonde, but didn't go to the hairdressers as another friend of hers told her to do it herself at home:rolleyes:. On the first attempt she used 4 boxes 40 vol 12% to cover all of her hair this obviously turned it an orangy colour, then the next day she dyed it again with another two boxes of the same colour:eek:, her hair is now really white blonde which isn't too much of a problem but now she has realised that she has burnt her scalp. I've seen it and it looks like little blisters all over the front. What can she do???!!! And what can she do to reduce breakage to her hair...it doesn't feel has bad as it should do. Thanks for any replies

Bloody hell!!!
Its a wonder she has any hair left!!

condition,condition,condition!!

No harsh chemicals, definately no more colour, i would go to a salon, tell them what ive done, have a good cut, plenty of conditioning treatments, no heat styling, and go to a salon when i were due my roots doing. Also ask the salon to give you some conditioning treatments that she can be doing at home too, depending on what they stock, im sure they will retail something suitable.
hope this helps a little : )

Thanks for your reply...she herself says that she's lucky to have any hair left! Is there anything I can tell her to do for the burns? One of the burns is about the size of a 50 pence piece. Can she put something like savlon on it? Or is that a bad idea?

ouch!!! I didnt realise the severity of the burns!

I would definatley tell her to see her g.p, he/she may give her some medicated cream,or something for it.

Hope she hasnt caused any permanent damage : S

Thanks again for your reply, I've told her to go to her G.P and made her swear not to do anthing like that ever again! It hurt her so much she even had her head in the freezer at one point. A lesson to all those who want to treat their hair at home.....Don't do it!!!

Oh my word ... Silly girl! She could end up with bald scars if she doesn't get it treated, defo see a gp. Hope it all heals quickly for her.

Pure aloe vera gel would work well. It will moisturize her hair, soothe the burnt areas and promote healing. Its wonderful stuff.

Thanks for your help, she is going to see her G.P tomorrow and I've suggested that she buys some aloe vera gel. Where's the best place to get this? Do they sell it in boots?

Health and safety seek medical aside with chemical blisters, bet she's sore.
