Hi,
I currently offer Shellac which I love but heard about Calgel recently and wondered if someone could tell me more about it.
Am I right in thinking it can be applied just as a gel to the natural nail but also that you can sculpt a nail and add length to a nail - is this known as an overlay or is this something different?

I don't offer enhancements of any sort but would love to be able to offer something to those with short/weak nails as Shellac doesn't suit everyone.
A lady was telling me about how well it lasted in comparison to Shellac she had done in a salon recently.
Any feedback on this product would be great! Thanks x

Hi, I'm a qualified Calgel nail tech and know quite a lot about it aswell as been a college tutor.
Calgel isn't like your shellac as it is painted on but not like a varnish as you find your system is.
It is all about promoting healthy nails as the gel is gas permeable so takes in and releases water like a natural nail.
It can last between 2-4 weeks depending on your client, you can sculpt with it to make a false natural nail, use it to overlay or put it over extensions.
There's a full colour range as well as competition whites for you to put a perfect French on also.
It is very good when used with all compatible products I.e. There own, it is expensive to build a full range up to offer to your clients but you get what you pay for.
