Do you have psoriasis? My dad does and they look similar. How long have they been like that? Are you on any medication? Have a look on the cnd locator and find a local salon to pick up some solar oil. It's amazing! It won't happen over night but it's a good start.

ok if it is psoriasis on my nails what should i do? is solar oil or coal tar better to help make it better?

btw im not sure if it all stemmed from this but i did bite my nails a lot without and problems but then after i bit my nails down way to far this occurred.

Ekkkkk you must stop biting them!! It looks like you have gone to far and ruined the nail bed, this can be permanent damage. Get yourself to a decent nail tech for them to see the full extent of what's going on... But STOP biting them x

I know you don't want to hear this but....go and see a doctor or if you don't want to see your GP go to your local pharmacist or NHS walk in centre and speak to a health care professional for advice.

I agree- could they possibly have a fungal infection?

The profile says USA.

That looks bad. Is it painful? It looks like a possible nail infection? My mother had one on her toe and the nail had to be removed. You need to see a doctor. Why can't you see a doctor? I understand your from the US is it possibly due to no insurance? I think I've read you have some free drop in centres maybe go to one of those if you can't afford a medical bill.

You do not want it to get worse then it already is. Please see a doctor.

No solar oil or over the counter or salon potion will sort this. Xx

As already said and I totally understand it could well be down to your insurance but please find away to get to a free clinic or something ,
Your nails could be showing signs of a much more serious condition else wear in your body ! .
It isn't worth the risk of ignoring it .

And no one here is qualified to diagnose , yes we do normally cover signs symptoms (basically recognizing contraindications and contra actions ) in our training but it is NO where near as complex as a medical professionals training or understanding .

Don't risk your health darling please call around hospital / Dr tell them you need it looked at and see if they have any payment plans or charity's that can help cover costs if that's the problem .

STOP BITING YOUR NAILS. Go find a good, reputable nail tech who does shellac treatments (Do not go to a discount salon or this will just make it worse). Get yourself some CND solar oil and shellac treatments. Shellac requires no buffing or filing of the natural nail. You need to grow this out. This is your nail bed showing out from under your nail plate. Your nail bed contains nerves and capillaries. Not good miss. Please get help! Get your nails to length where you can get hard enhancements on them to encourage yourself not to bite or pick at them. PLEASE! If there is any discoloring of your nail plate (Fingernail) you need to go see a doctor as it could be a nail infection that needs to be treated before you have no nail left at all. Are you on any medications?
