Change from black

Hello I have popped over from the beauty side.
I have been dying my hair black for ages and want a change.
Going to go to a salon obviously but wondering what they might say. im wanting this purple and wasn't sure if they would suggest stripping my hair first or bleaching it?
Any help would be appreciated

Yep they will strip it out will probably take 2 sessions and you will need to maintain at home as it will fade fast

It's a little worrying they've advised you to use a OTC product and strip it yourself 😳 there are professional products available so colour stripping can be carried out by hairdressers in salons. I would perhaps try a different salon Hun

I'd definitely not bother returning to that salon. How unprofessional!

You need to find a good colourist who knows what they're doing but expect to have to pay a premium as this sort of colour correction if done properly, is not cheap.

I know I thought that when they said go to b&m and get the hair stripper!
I have phoned another salon today and spoke to a lovely girl who has said that the colour I'm wanting I won't be able to get that exact in their colours or I could use crazy color which is semi perm and would need topping up regularly. She has talked me thro stripping and bleaching. She has trained at SAKS and was assistant manager at Toni and guys I till opening her own 5 years ago so all sounds good
