Hi! One of my clients has asked if I could do her daughter’s nails and toes (just normal polish) - what do you do in these situations? The daughter is 10. Would you do filing and cuticle work? Or just paint? Or would any of you not do this?
Thanks!

I do a tiny bit of cuticle work on my 10 year old stepdaughter, minimal filing, just tidying up and then nail polish. It's more the novelty factor of having it done the same as grown ups that matters I think.

1. File
3. Buff lightly.
4. Polish

For young girls my Vinylux mini - manicure is:

  1. sanitise hands (remove graffiti as necessary )
  2. apply a little hand cream and rub in, especially to the cuticle area
  3. use a hoof stick to ease back cuticles if needed
  4. scrub fresh
  5. Apply polish, pretty stickers if desired, top coat.

They usually go for glittery polish so ones like Nordic lights, Glacial mist & butterfly queen are great.
I charge the same price for a kids mini manicure as an adult because it takes the same time.
