so i had this client in 5 days ago an she had plain nsi pink masque nails and brought her barry m glitter polish in for me to paint them with she has just messaged me saying shes not happy they are way to short and she has an infil growth already and she want me to do a new set on xmas eve after 5;30 when she finishes work and the salon closes at 4;30 otherwise she will take them off and wants a refund! i explained as her nail beds were very short she couldnt have them too long and she agreed at the length of 2 and a half on the sculpture forms and she was happy when she left and even put the pic on facebook and reccommended me toher friend who also came and then i get her messaging me today

would any of you guys refund her for this?

I would defantly not be refunding!! You done what she asked you 2 do & was happy when she left she should of said at the time if she thought they were 2 short! I wouldn't give her a refund for that xx

Cheeky moo no I would not refund at all.

I would text her and say : Unfortunatly I will not be able to offer your a refund or do them again as when you left you were happy and posted a pic of them on face book stating your were happy. You are welcome to come into the salon before 4.30 and I will take them off and redo them for you but you will be charged the full amount. Please let me know asap and I can book you in.Merry Christmas.

This is not your fault and the client was happy when she left so that's that x

im not going to i just wanted to know if anyone else would on here and if i was doing the right thing. she send me a pic of the regrowth area which looks bigger because of the glitter polish if it was a colour polish you wouldnt see it as bad. there is no lifting or anything and they are not that short to me.

here is a pic what she put on facebook

and the second will be 1 week tommorrow when i did them if you look closely the regrowth isnt a big as it looks

Her cuticle lookes to me like there quite big as in long am I right in saying that or is that just regrowth

Did you get your L&P and polish right to the cuticle area as close as you could get it.Of you did then this is her regrowth nothing you can do about that you can't stop her nails from growing.

yes i even trimmed her cuticles as they were quite big, if you zoom in the growth is not as big as it looks i thinks its because the polish is chunky glitter but still the re-growth is not down to me that is what she cant understand she seems to think its the acrylic moving and i cant get it through to her

There isn't much regrowth at all x

I wouldn't refund due to there being no technical problem with the nails, if you asked her if she was happy with the shape and length during the treatment and happy with the end result, she's trying it on x

I've just zoomed in there isn't hardly any regrowth.well the acrylic isn't moving her nails are growing lol it's hard explaining things to clients lol.

She's just wishing she had them done closer to Xmas and trying her look.

Heya hun,

She really is trying her look, how her nails grow is not your fault, they don't slide up the nail bed so its pure regrowth.

Id advise her that unfortunately you will not be doing them free of charge or refunding due to her agreeance in the length during the consultation stage and being happy when leaving etc, if she was unhappy she should have advised prior to almost a week later!

Isn't the average infills stage 2 weeks? So she's trying tp get xmas and new year out of you?? Id even be slightly cheeky using what one pf the others have said (she can come in within salon hours but you close at 430 that's if you have spaces) have them redone but pay full price so they can last her new year too and her infills apt due in the new year instead.

HEHE, I am sat here giggly at the thought of the client 'Help the acrylics moving'!! I've never ever heard that until now, hehe.

Take a screen shot of where she posted them on facebook indicating that she was perfectly happy with them so you have proof to show her. x

I don't think they are short at all, I think they look quite long, if anything. The growth is totally normal. X

If they have been on a week then she is only a week away from her maintenance appointment! I'm sure you would have told her that she needs them doing every two weeks she's trying it on! Big time waster of you ask me just tell her to book in for maintanence after Christmas x
