Hi all.

I'm a student nail tech and my grandmother wants we to do her nails but she has an allergy to alcoholic wipes, so I think to use stranded nail dehydrator on her would cause a reaction.
Can someone help me by suggestion a suitable substitute?

My thanks

Hello I can see that no one has any answers for you right now and I'm not too sure myself so I'd suggest as your a student contacting your tutor and see what they think xx

Pure acetone would dehydrate the nails suitably before applying a product :)

Xxx

Thanks for the advise.

I did ask my teacher but she wasn't sure and was going to look into. I just thought I might broaden my search for an alternative.

I have a rubbing alcohol allergy too, it makes my fingers itchy. Any help for this issue?

There are many ingredients which make up a product. The combination or method to make a product can’t make a big difference to the end result , look at a cake or pancake have similar ingredients diff results..
So my suggestion is trying a diff range, or using gloves as a technician to avoid over exposure to yourself.

I found after few years Calgel calguard caused an issue so I swooped to another brand from Nsi pure and gel wipe and now after a two year break I can touch calguard again. I adapted my methods using only gloves and also removing nails using pre pared fouls so min my own exposure to acetone and soak off solutions.
And sleeping with treatment mask for my hands at nigh have all helped.
